| | misa lonal AGE: 17 SPECIES: Chiss HOME WORLD: Csilla OCCUPATION: Student GENDER: Female FORCE SENSITIVITY: Yes FACTION: New Jedi Order WEAKNESSES: As the Chiss are a non-violent people who arm themselves only in defense, Misa knows little about combat; her natural clumsiness does not help matters, either. Without force powers, she'd be an easy kill in a fight. As she is unusally naive and has a tendency to try and always see the best in others, it wouldn't be difficult for someone particularly clever to take advantage of Misa's unworldliness. STRENGTHS: Misa is a quick study and picks up new force abilities easily; honing these abilities, however, is an entirely different matter. While has a natural knack for some force powers, her demonstration of others comes across as clumsy her attempts to properly wield a lightsaber. REPUTATION: Chiss fugitive. PERSONAL INVENTORY: One unremarkable set of clothing with an equally unremarkable hair clip.

| | personality The Chiss are a race who value conformity to inconsistency, who prioritize the good of the group over the good of the individual. Whereas individuality is celebrated in other cultures, it is frowned upon in this one. In short, all Chiss were expected to work for a common purpose, and to stifle their individual drives and motivations for the good of the Chiss Ascendancy.
It should come as no surprise that Misa, as well, holds these beliefs in high regard. Where others might be eager to show off their own skills, she is hesitant; where others have their own goals and motivations, Misa has none to speak of.
It is perhaps due to this upbringing that Misa feels guilty for desiring something that may not directly benefit the Ascendancy--namely, her freedom. When Misa left Csilla, she did so against the desires of those who wanted to study her--studies they hoped, would benefit the Chiss as a race. She sees her inability to subordinate her own feelings as the ultimate betrayal of her people.

| | background There's little Misa remembers about her family; they died early in her life, leaving her an orphan. However, she was well-taken care of by the Ascendancy, and rarely thought about how sorry her circumstances might seem to others; she did, however, occasionally wonder about her parents--what sort of people they were, and what they did--but never actually acted on this curiosity. As a child, she often imagined lives for her family, and a small part of her didn't want to destroy the image she had created of them, even when she grew older.
At ten, she first demonstrated use of the force; the Chiss oligarchy instantly took an interest in what they saw as a disparity in their otherwise completely homogeneous race. She was turned over to House Inrokini, where her powers were tested and explored; she endured this for several years, being told and believing that this was for the good of her people, until she reached a breaking point, and escaped. Upon hearing rumors of others like her collecting on Yavin 4, and traveled there in hopes of learning more about the powers that had for so long piqued the curiosity of House Inrokini.
